We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, focusing on Medicare and Medicaid patient interactions, primarily handling prior authorizations. The role involves setting up prior authorizations in our system and collaborating with a review technician for further processing.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the intake of MedPharm prior authorization requests.
+ Set up prior authorizations in the system.
+ Send requests to review technicians for further evaluation.
+ Provide exceptional customer service over the phone.
+ Control and redirect conversations as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy technician certification
+ Prior experience with managed care
+ Proficient in data entry and computer skills
+ Strong customer service abilities
+ Experience in handling claims and appeals
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in managed care and pharmacy settings
+ Capability to work independently and remotely
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) preferred
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, requiring a closed-door setting with limited distractions and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Strong WIFI is essential for remote work. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm in your time zone, with a rotating holiday schedule. Weekend rotations occur every 4-6 weeks, requiring work on both Saturday and Sunday, with compensatory days off. Lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to an hour.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
