    Job Title: Clinical Software Developer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Software Developer to join our dynamic team to develop and maintain an internal R package and create R-based ETL scripts for basic data engineering and quality control of biomarker data. This role involves working in a collaborative environment to ensure our software solutions meet the needs of our users and stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    + Contribute to and expand the functionality of our internally developed R package.

    + Coordinate with coworkers to ensure codebase compatibility.

    + Test, debug, and document software applications.

    + Commit changes to git-based source version control.

    + Consult with users and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.

    + Effectively communicate technical ideas to colleagues across functions and domains.

    + Analyze data specification documents, design logic, and write coded ETL scripts using R programming language.

    + Maintain and ensure ETL pipelines run as expected.

    Essential Skills

    + R programming

    + Experience in biotechnology, cloud computing, and Linux

    + Proficiency in GitHub

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field

    + 1 year or more of software development work experience

    + Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related life sciences industry

    + Fluency in the R programming environment and comfort working in Linux

    + Proficiency in good coding/software development best practices and use of GitHub

    + Knowledge of Python and SQL for adjacent QC responsibilities

    + Flexibility and ability to thrive in an evolving environment

    + Adaptability to change and ability to adjust work positively

    + Excellent listening, time management, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Familiarity with workflow languages such as Airflow, Nextflow, Snakemake, or CWL

    + Experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS or Azure

    + Use of CI/CD integrations with GitHub

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Bothell, Washington.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
