    Assistant Project Manager – Affordable Housing & Property Operations

     

    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

    We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the daily operations of our property management and development projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a dynamic environment focused on compliance, community impact, and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Act as a primary point of contact for residents, staff, and external partners, ensuring high-quality service and communication.

    + Support and learn LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance and regulatory requirements.

    + Assist with reporting, inventory control, and delinquency management.

    + Help coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure timely task completion.

    + Communicate with state monitoring agencies and external stakeholders.

    + Collaborate with site managers and superintendents to resolve issues and improve processes.

    + Manage conflicts professionally and contribute to a positive team culture.

    Essential Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in administrative or operational support; LIHTC or property management experience is highly preferred.

    + Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities.

    + Highly organized with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard business software.

    + Ability to work independently while supporting broader team goals.

    Additional Qualifications

    + Familiarity with project management, site development, and property maintenance.

    + Experience with RFIs, agency coordination, and regulatory documentation.

    + Background in real estate, leasing, residential property, or construction management.

    + Understanding of commercial real estate and tax regulations.

    + Strong skills in report writing and data entry.

    Work Environment

    This role is primarily office-based, with regular interaction across teams and agencies. Occasional visits to job sites may be required to support onsite staff and ensure project alignment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $65000.00/hr.
