Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take full responsibility for leading products through prototype, pilot, and production builds. You will oversee the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change orders, report on the status of New Product Launch (NPL) activities, and use statistical tools to lead quality improvements within the customer team.
Responsibilities
+ Lead products through prototype, pilot, and production builds.
+ Oversee implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change orders.
+ Report on the status of New Product Launch (NPL) activities.
+ Use statistical tools to lead quality improvement within the customer team.
+ Drive internal and external corrective action plans.
+ Actively participate in new customer and business development.
+ Analyze line return information to drive corrective action on manufacturing process issues.
+ Perform product-level assessments as required.
+ Execute Design for Manufacturability and collaborate with Test Engineering on Design for Testability.
+ Assist in developing project proposals and associated cost estimates.
+ Execute product’s transitional manufacturing requirements and process approaches.
+ Develop in-depth knowledge of customer’s products to support transitional activities.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a production setting.
+ BS in Engineering.
+ Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, lean six sigma, green belt, and electronics manufacturing.
+ Demonstrated ability to solve and document moderately complex cross-departmental issues using structured problem-solving tools.
+ Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
+ Engineering-level understanding of electronic components, circuits and systems, or mechanical components and systems depending on education.
+ Ability to work with diverse groups and demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Effective interpersonal, multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills.
+ Demonstrate high attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
+ Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
+ Strong customer service and client focus.
+ Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office and WebEx conferencing software.
Work Environment
The role is based in Rochester, MN. The work environment is dynamic, requiring the use of various technologies and equipment. A professional dress code is maintained.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
