Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with unit turns and common area renovations in occupied senior living communities. This role involves managing capital expenditure projects and collaborating with field staff to drive the successful completion of construction projects. You will guide field operations teams in workforce management, optimize equipment utilization, and champion innovative safety practices. A passion for community service and comfort with travel are essential.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee field operations, including budgeting and cost tracking, to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
+ Act as the main liaison for site superintendents, promoting strong teamwork and communication.
+ Clearly convey company goals and expectations to site superintendents and field crews to ensure alignment and execution.
+ Coordinate resources across multiple job sites, ensuring materials, equipment, and labor are available as needed.
+ Direct and support workforce activities to maintain smooth and productive operations.
+ Assess and manage equipment usage to ensure crews are properly equipped while controlling costs.
+ Continuously evaluate industry trends and innovations to implement process improvements.
+ Identify and resolve project challenges proactively using available tools and expertise.
+ Work with superintendents and key staff to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
+ Help organize and lead regular meetings to support leadership and communication.
+ Collaborate with the Safety team to enforce safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent working experience.
+ 3+ years of experience as a project manager or project engineer working for a general contractor or real estate developer.
+ Proficiency in Procore.
+ Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
+ Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and safe work practices.

+ Experience with unit turns and common area management.
+ Subcontractor management.
+ Commercial construction.
+ General contracting, construction scheduling, capital expenditure, ground-up construction.
+ Experience as a Construction Project Engineer/Manager with Senior Living Communities.
+ Experience with capital expenditures or commercial unit renovation projects.
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with weekends available for emergencies. The position involves approximately 70% travel, with one day per week in the office and other days visiting job sites in Michigan or nearby states. Most travel consists of same-day trips. The company operates private aircraft out of Howell Airport, facilitating same-day returns. Mileage reimbursement is provided for vehicle travel, along with a monthly car allowance. The role offers the opportunity to directly serve the occupants of senior living communities, transforming them through thoughtful renovations and efficient unit turns.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
