Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will assist in planning, developing, and coordinating engineering projects, ensuring they meet personnel needs and schedules. You will serve as a product line specialist and engineering expert for assigned projects, acting as a technical consultant and assisting with solution presentations and site performance demonstrations.

Responsibilities

+ Perform as a staff advisor and consultant on technical specialties, equipment, or program functions.

+ Achieve all assigned project tasks and objectives within established strategies, ensuring functionality and meeting specifications.

+ Ensure project tasks assigned to others are completed within budget, schedule, and priority.

+ Conduct engineering design reviews to ensure fit, function, and accuracy.

+ Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve project completion or engineering processes.

+ Keep leaders informed on the status of assigned projects with timely updates and alternate plan suggestions.

+ Follow up with other departments on project tasks to ensure critical items are completed within needed timelines.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of machine design experience

+ 1+ year of Solidworks experience

+ Experience with sheet metal design

+ Background in manufacturing of parts

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Associates with relevant experience considered)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in Solidworks

+ Experience in mechanical engineering and mechanical design

+ Knowledge of sheet metal and machine design

+ Experience in equipment design, new product development, R&D engineering

+ Familiarity with a manufacturing environment and tooling

Work Environment

This position is entirely desk-based, focusing on design work for new machines within an R&D setting. Work is conducted 100% on-site at the Covington, KY location, with flexible hours within standard business hours. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ft Mitchell, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
