    Job Description

    Responsible for overseeing the lab Packing & Shipping department. Daily, pack and ship customer orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers. Monitor inventory of packing and shipping supplies including catalog items for sale. Order and receive supplies.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in inventory management, shipping and receiving.

    + Experience with ERP systems and inventory control.

    + Strong material handling and cycle counting skills.

    + Ability to label, pack, and manage general labor tasks.

    + Competence in data entry, picking, supply chain, loading, and shipping and freight management software.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).

    + 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.

    + An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a substitute for the specific education and experience listed.

    Work Environment

    The work environment exposes employees to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. Employees are required to regularly lift and move 10 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Windham, Connecticut.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.

     

    AVS Bio is the worlds largest producer of Specific Pathogen Free eggs as well as laboratory products and services for the development and manufacture of Biologics. We are establishing a research group to expand our new product offerings across both human and animal health markets.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Windham,CT.
