Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Project Scheduler to join our construction team. This role is critical to the planning and execution of complex infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on data center construction. The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and resource optimization.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and a solid understanding of construction sequencing, particularly within data center environments. This position requires close collaboration with project managers, field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and procurement to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and drive schedule performance.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
+ Break down project scope into manageable tasks aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
+ Define logical sequencing of activities, estimate durations, and allocate resources.
+ Perform critical path analysis and establish baseline schedules for performance tracking.
+ Integrate electrical and mechanical scopes into general contractor schedules, with a focus on data center infrastructure.
+ Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and validate schedule accuracy.
+ Collect and analyze progress data to identify deviations and potential delays.
+ Update schedules based on actual progress and communicate changes to stakeholders.
+ Evaluate the impact of change orders and propose schedule adjustments.
+ Identify bottlenecks and critical path activities; recommend mitigation strategies.
+ Assess schedule risks such as weather delays, material shortages, and labor constraints; develop contingency plans.
+ Prepare and present clear, data-driven schedule reports to project leadership and clients.
+ Facilitate schedule review meetings and resolve timeline concerns collaboratively.
+ Ensure alignment between field execution and project milestones.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
+ Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
+ Strong understanding of construction scheduling principles and project controls.
+ Experience developing and maintaining baseline schedules for large-scale projects.
+ Ability to perform schedule impact analysis and progress forecasting.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience scheduling data center construction projects is required.
+ Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.
+ Knowledge of scheduling best practices in fast-track or phased construction projects.
+ Experience with scheduling software integrations and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel dashboards).
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $38.46/hr.
