Job Title: Design Verification Engineer/Electrical Engineer
Job Description
The Design Verification Engineer will be a key member of the Avionics team, concentrating on the design verification of various electrical functions within high-performance communication systems. The role involves taking designs from subsystem testing and initial build through to functional testing and system performance validation, specifically focusing on PCB Assembly design verification.
Responsibilities
+ Lead board-level bring-up and test for newly designed PCBA.
+ Write and execute design verification plans for power and signal integrity verification for standard and custom communication interfaces between Integrated circuits and circuit boards.
+ Ensure proper data collection reviews and demonstrate the system requirement verification.
+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary avionics design team, including PCBA design engineers, harness engineers, FPGA and embedded software developers, as well as system and integration engineers.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 5 years of experience in board-level design verification for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics products.
+ 5 years of experience developing requirements, plans, and procedures for product design verification.
+ 5 years of experience using standard electronic lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
+ Solid understanding of electrical engineering and test fundamentals.
+ Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to coordinate between engineering test lab and technicians and schedule testing resources.
+ Experience in test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes such as GEVS/SMC-S-016.
+ Knowledge of hardware and software tools for test automation, including NI dSPACE, Python, C/C++, and LabView.
+ Experience with power supplies, IMUs, FPGAs, sensors, RF, and high-speed electrical signal design or testing of circuit boards with complex microcontrollers, SOCs, or FPGAs.
+ Experience with communication busses, switching power supplies, electric motors, IMUs, sensors, RF, and high-speed electrical signal design or testing and development of automated test systems.
+ Experience with incoming calibration checks and developing calibration procedures.
+ Experience reviewing requirements to support various test phases.
+ 5 years of experience in design verification of high-speed interfaces, signal integrity, and protocol compliance.
+ 5 years of experience testing power regulators, switching LDOs.
Work Environment
The work environment includes an office and manufacturing floor setting. This role supports the development of a satellite constellation aimed at providing internet access to unserved communities globally.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $74.00/hr.
