Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

The maintenance technician will work within the powertrain team to achieve aligned results. They must possess strong knowledge in troubleshooting preventive maintenance and electrical systems, and help develop strategies to meet team and company goals. The technician will report to various supervisors and managers throughout the production organization. They must have a working knowledge of standard automotive OEM process equipment and related systems, be a problem solver, communicative, and proactive in executing daily activities. The technician will contribute to day-to-day operations and update the company through reports as needed. They must perform under pressure, remain dynamic, understand urgency, and practice teamwork and team building.

Responsibilities

+ Perform maintenance of process equipment in various shops depending on department.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance on all types of production equipment.

+ Document all preventive maintenance activities accurately.

+ Collaborate with the maintenance planner to learn and use the CMMS system.

+ Troubleshoot and repair complex problems on production equipment.

+ Repair and/or replace defective parts.

+ Support the installation of new equipment.

+ Fabricate parts for plant and/or production equipment.

+ Enforce and follow all safety rules and regulations.

+ Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2 years of work experience in a maintenance capacity on manufacturing or industrial equipment troubleshooting electrical systems, or a related degree with 6+ months of related work experience.

+ Understanding of electrical control systems.

+ Ability to verbally explain the correct use of a multimeter and other related diagnostic tools.

+ Knowledge of PLC logic controls (Rockwell / Siemens / etc.).

+ Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in food & beverage background due to a highly automated environment.

+ Refrigeration school experience (RSI) or mechanic schooling.

+ MIG, TIG, and stick welding and cutting skills.

+ Experience with Edwards Vac submittals/formers, check MSR-FSR and ASM formers/subs.

+ Must be able to walk 15,000+ steps a day and stand all day, similar to semiconductor roles.

Work Environment

The position is located in a large, highly automated automotive manufacturing environment. Maintenance operates on a 4-day work week, with shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Employees work 40-48 hours per week, including potential shifts on Sundays. This role requires wearing steel-toed boots on the manufacturing floor. The team culture is family-oriented, collaborative, and team-focused.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
