Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for receiving, labeling, and safely storing biological specimens, as well as preparing them for testing according to established protocols. Your role will involve performing routine laboratory tests such as urinalysis, hematology, and chemistry, while ensuring the precise and accurate analysis of test results.
Responsibilities
+ Receive, label, and safely store biological specimens.
+ Prepare specimens for testing according to established protocols.
+ Perform routine laboratory tests including urinalysis, hematology, and chemistry.
+ Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
+ Record and analyze test results with precision and accuracy.
+ Maintain detailed documentation and logs in both paper and electronic formats.
+ Follow safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials.
+ Assist with inventory management and supply stocking.
+ Collaborate with team members and communicate findings as needed.
+ Participate in continuing education and training programs.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in laboratory work and sample preparation.
+ Knowledge of chemistry and medical laboratory procedures.
+ Familiarity with laboratory information systems and data entry.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to pass a color blind test.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 4-year science degree or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred.
+ Previous experience as a Lab Technician is a plus.
+ Specialty testing knowledge, including microscopy and microbiology.
+ Skills in data analysis, quality control, aseptic technique, and lab instrumentation.
Work Environment
The position offers the opportunity to work at one of the largest healthcare diagnostic labs in the country, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. You will be working in a medical facility alongside a team of 3-4 other technicians. Enjoy the benefit of having weekends and holidays off.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
