Oversee and coordinate a building expansion project while serving as the internal liaison to ensure alignment between operational/business goals and the contractor’s execution. Support pre-and post-expansion activities aimed at optimizing the shop floor layout and improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Act as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and the third-party construction contractor.
+ Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
+ Attend regular progress meetings, reporting, and documentation.
+ Support planning and execution of shop floor improvements, including layout redesign and workflow optimization.
+ Collaborate with the production team to design optimal material flow and workstation placement.
+ Utilize AutoCAD or similar tools for inside layout planning, visualization, and documentation.
+ Identify and communicate risks, proposing mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills
+ Project management and coordination experience.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ 1 or more years of experience in project management.
+ Understanding of manufacturing or shop floor operations.
+ Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in construction or industrial facility expansion.
+ PMP or similar certification.
Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing environment currently undergoing expansion. The candidate must be onsite 5 days a week. The initial contract is for 6-9 months, with the potential for a direct hire. The tasks involve coordinating material logistics, scheduling orders, and assisting the primary project manager with various duties. The facility manufactures over 70,000 safety components each year for various industries, ensuring safe operations and access in hazardous areas.

This is a Contract position based out of North Canton, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
