Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Henrico, Virginia. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in managing past-due accounts, particularly in real estate and property taxes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining professionalism and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Contact clients regarding overdue real estate and property tax payments to negotiate repayment plans.

• Manage a high volume of accounts in a fast-paced call center environment.

• Utilize advanced collection techniques to resolve outstanding balances efficiently.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide accurate information about account statuses.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and ensure payment accuracy.

• Maintain detailed records of all communications and transactions with clients.

• Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements while conducting collections activities.

• Analyze account data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improving collections processes.

• Deliver exceptional service during all interactions to foster positive relationships with clients. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections, preferably within a call center setting.

• Familiarity with collection processes and billing procedures.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to handle sensitive financial discussions.

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple accounts.

• Proficiency in customer service techniques to maintain professionalism during client interactions.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to collections and credit policies.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze account data and develop actionable insights.
