Job Title: Electrical and Process Control Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical and Process Control Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food production facility. You will be responsible for analyzing and resolving electrical problems, troubleshooting, and continuously improving our analog/digital electronic control systems, PLC programming, HMI systems, and computer network communications.

Responsibilities

+ Analyze and resolve electrical problems, troubleshooting electronic control systems.

+ Program and maintain PLC and HMI systems.

+ Document and implement work order procedures for new equipment and technologies.

+ Install and maintain both pneumatic and electronic Process Control Instruments.

+ Repair, calibrate, and clean instruments, pressure switches, flow tubes, and gauges.

+ Maintain machine settings and speeds to ensure efficient process flow.

+ Monitor key process points and maintain compliance records.

+ Troubleshoot line performance issues and assist in corrections.

+ Install, adjust, and repair processing equipment according to specifications.

+ Utilize a Planned Maintenance Program to maintain equipment.

+ Ensure safety compliance and evaluate processes for safety risks.

+ Oversee general housekeeping in maintenance and production areas.

+ Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in maintenance repair, mechanical and electrical repair.

+ Proficiency in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

+ Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Two-year certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Six to twelve months of related experience and/or training.

Work Environment

Work in a controlled food production facility with a team of 6-10 people. Adherence to safety protocols such as wearing hair nets, beard nets, and boot coverings is required.

This is a Permanent position based out of FARIBAULT, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $68000.00/yr.

Tuition reimbursement for relevant schooling/training to the field

For the Holiday Schedule all days listed are paid without needing to use any PTO. The plant shutdown varies each year based on when the holidays fall but it is always Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day is our shutdown time. President’s Day this year was our floating holiday so that is not always the same.

For the medical premiums the cost does drop for the following year if they do the biometric screen in October at our on-site wellness fair. That information is listed on page 13 in the benefit guide.

There is a wellness program that employees can earn anywhere from $75-$150 based on how many points they earn throughout the year and is paid out to them early January of the following year.

Fitness Club reimbursement program that after 8 visits in one calendar month we reimburse $20 to help with gym membership fees and we provide a discount on fitness tracking devices (fitbit) the company will pay up to $30 on your first purchase of a fitbit whether the purchase is made through the client or if the employee purchases one on their own.

client offers company paid life insurance, long term and short term disability, and 401K plans that Faribault Foods, Inc. matches %50 of employee contributions up to %6.

Employees are eligible for all benefits at 60 days except 401K employees are eligible at 90 days.
