Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's equipment. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance of forklifts, conveyors, slitters, and rollers. Your tasks will include performing routine maintenance to optimize equipment performance, carrying out preventative maintenance programs, and addressing safety concerns throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
+ Carry out preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
+ Identify and address safety concerns throughout the facility.
+ Continuously review equipment operations and systems to identify areas for improvement.
+ Solve problems in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.
+ Develop and implement strategies to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
+ Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues.
+ Analyze data and apply problem-solving skills to resolve equipment malfunctions.
+ Develop and maintain accurate documentation of work orders and maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of maintenance experience.
+ Mechanical maintenance expertise.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
+ Welding and fabrication skills.
+ Relevant schooling or technical education.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
401K, health, dental, vision, short term/long term disability
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Portage,IN.
