Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where your proficiency in English and attention to detail will ensure the efficient handling of merchandise. You will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and organization of our inventory.

Responsibilities

+ Receive and check incoming merchandise to ensure accuracy and quality.

+ Use pick tickets to pull merchandise for orders, ensuring the correct description, quantity, and size.

+ Pack orders, including shrink wrapping contents onto pallets.

+ Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.

+ Load and unload trucks, and pull orders by handling physical merchandise, cases, boxes, units, and pallets.

+ Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.

+ Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient with sit-down forklift and electric pallet jack.

+ Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience.

+ Proven experience as an order picker or in other warehouse positions.

+ Able to read and write in English.

+ Good physical strength and stamina.

+ Great attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience or license in handling sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

+ Organized, takes initiative, driven, works independently, self-motivated, and pays attention to detail.

+ Basic math counting skills.

Work Environment

Our work environment involves handling a wide range of products, including personal care items, confectionery, snacks, and beverages. We have direct relationships with manufacturers, enabling us to offer competitive prices. Our distribution focuses on the cruise line and hospitality industries. The schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
