    Job Description

    Join a family-owned business known for its long-standing expertise in metal fabrication, serving industries such as aerospace, agriculture, and food production. Our work is synonymous with quality, producing custom-built racks, carts, trolleys, and more under our popular brand names. Located in Schaumburg, Illinois, our roots trace back to World War II, where our ancestors contributed to the war effort with their fabrication skills.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform TIG welding on thin stainless steel ranging from 16ga to 18ga.

    + Work with stainless steel and aluminum materials.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Ensure measurements are within 1/8in tolerance using basic measuring tools.

    + Contribute to forming, welding, and special fabrication departments.

    + Focus on forming and welding for 80-90% of the workload.

    + Participate in special fabrication for custom orders, accounting for 10-20% of work.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in TIG welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Experience with basic measuring tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in forming and welding departments.

    + Capability in special fabrication for custom orders.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a smaller shop setting currently reorganizing to enhance manufacturing efficiencies. Share a building with several companies, with plans to expand office space adjacent to the production area. Enjoy a stable work environment with experienced welders, some with over 15 years of service. Operating hours include shifts from 6am to 2:30pm, and 2:30pm to 11pm, offering an additional pay incentive for the latter shift.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schaumburg, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
