Maintenance Mechanic – $35–$40/hr |

**Location:** Omaha, Nebraska

**Type:** Contract to Hire

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM (47–52 hrs/week)

A well-established concrete plant is hiring a **Maintenance Technician** to keep equipment running and the operation moving. This is **year-round work** with **no winter layoffs** , **steady hours** , and **top pay** for skilled tradespeople.

Pay & Hours

+ **$35–$40/hour** , based on experience

+ **Weekly pay**

+ **Full-time hours + overtime**

Job Duties

+ Maintain and repair plant machinery, overhead cranes, lifts, trucks, and compressors

+ Start up equipment before shift begins (air compressors, gates, lifts)

+ Keep detailed maintenance records (OSHA/DOT compliant)

+ Set up and manage preventative maintenance schedules

+ Work closely with the Plant Manager to plan and improve operations

Requirements

+ 5+ years of maintenance experience in a plant or industrial setting

+ Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

+ Experience with heavy equipment, hydraulics, and air systems

+ Willing to get certified if not already

Work Environment

+ Concrete plant – indoor/outdoor work

+ Expect to get dirty

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
