    Job Title: Mechanical Inspection and Testing Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Inspection and Testing Specialist to join our team. This role involves the inspection and testing of complex components using advanced apparatus to ensure precise and reliable performance. The successful candidate will possess a broad knowledge of mechanical principles and inspection techniques.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize statistical inspection procedures to prevent the shipment of nonconforming goods.

    + Determine the cause and effect of deviations and implement corrective measures to maintain quality standards.

    + Prepare and maintain necessary quality records and reports.

    + Conduct mechanical inspections using prescribed methods and standardized instruments to ensure parts meet tolerance and finish requirements.

    + Make decisions on acceptable quality and recommend methods of correction for deviations.

    + Perform inspections on critical components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauging devices.

    + Set and adjust inspection instruments and tools for accurate measurements.

    + Conduct gage capability, gage reliability, process control, and machine capability studies.

    + Continuously improve and monitor quality throughout product delivery, conformance, and performance.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CMM operation with PCDMIS programming.

    + Two years of experience in general inspection using micrometers and calipers.

    + Expertise in metrology, GD&T, and calibration.

    + Ability to work with scales, squares, calipers, micrometers, indicators, verniers, and other standard instruments.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Six to twelve months of related experience or training.

    + Experience with MeasureX Optical.

    + Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly with graphite products.

    + Experience with Hexagon systems.

    The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $64480.00/yr.
