Job Title: Bundler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Bundler to join our team, working alongside a welder/machine operator to ensure the smooth operation of our weld lines. This role is essential in supporting our shop's production capabilities.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to prepare materials accordingly.

+ Adjust weld parameters and machine settings to ensure welds meet specifications.

+ Inspect welds for non-conformances and repair or rework as necessary.

+ Perform daily machine maintenance.

+ Inspect pipes for quality issues and ensure end prep is correct.

+ Offload pipes daily and transport them to the correct location.

+ Perform Quality Control procedures such as dye penetrant testing and inspection of grooves.

+ Handle assembly and make-on couplings/fittings, ensuring they are assembled to specifications.

+ Review job information sheets and technical instructions to process jobs accurately.

+ Operate pneumatic tensioner and crimper when applicable.

+ Input information into the computer system and use computer data to perform tasks accurately.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma or GED is required.

+ 2+ years of welding experience with skill levels to obtain a 2G.

+ Basic computer skills.

+ Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

+ Ability to build positive working relationships.

+ Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints is a plus.

Work Environment

The role requires constant standing, walking, and use of hands to grasp objects, with frequent talking, pulling/pushing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. The job involves medium physical strength, with exposure to various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, fumes, and loud noises. Protective gear such as arm, eye, feet, and leg protection is required. Operation of hand/power tools and shop machinery is necessary, along with basic understanding of math and simple drawings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salisbury, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
