    Description

    We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of a 24/7 multi-location IP network infrastructure. This comprehensive role requires expertise in routing, switching, wireless systems, unified communications, network security, and load balancing to ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance across all business locations. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for high-level networking initiatives, provide mentorship to team members, and establish technical standards and best practices to align with organizational goals.

     

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Strategically plan, design, and optimize enterprise-level LAN, WAN, and WLAN systems.

    + Develop scalable, secure, and resilient network strategies, incorporating emerging technologies.

    + Translate business objectives into tailored network and telecommunication solutions.

    + Validate and enhance architecture designs for compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

    + Conduct network readiness assessments, utilization analyses, and capacity planning.

    + Deploy, configure, and maintain networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

    + Coordinate infrastructure upgrades with stakeholders and vendors, ensuring seamless implementations.

    + Create, update, and audit network documentation, including diagrams and asset inventories.

    + Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS standards and implement cybersecurity best practices.

    + Monitor network performance, identify potential enhancements, and troubleshoot complex issues.

    + Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff.

    + Perform additional duties as required.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

    + Minimum of 5+ years in an enterprise network engineering role, with hands-on experience in technologies such as Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, SD-WAN, and wireless systems.

    + Advanced knowledge of Aruba and Cisco networking devices, as well as routing, switching, and wireless platforms.

    + Demonstrated experience with network security technologies, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba ClearPass NAC, and Radius.

    + Proficiency in BGP, HSRP, VSS, VSX, VLAN design, and similar protocols.

    + Proven ability to troubleshoot wired and wireless VoIP systems.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and VMware vSphere environments.

    + Knowledge of cabling standards, termination processes, and low-voltage wiring.

     

    Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

     

    + CCNA certification required; CCNP certification highly preferred.

    + Additional certifications, such as CCNP Wireless, AWS, or Azure, are a plus.

    + Experience working with Meraki, Linux, Datto, and remote management platforms.

    + Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.

    + Previous experience with hospitality-focused technology systems is beneficial.

    + Onsite work environment, including data center responsibilities, with occasional travel to remote business locations.
