Job Title:** **Apprentice Carpenter

Chaska, Cottage Grove, Woodbury, IGH, Rosemount, Farmington, Blaine, Lino

Lakes, Dayton)

Pay:** **$20–$22/hr

Shift:** **1st Shift (Start times between 7:00–7:30 AM, Monday–Friday)

Job Description:

Seeking entry-level carpenters helpers to assist with new build construction projects. Responsibilities include:

+ Assisting with window installation, exterior door hanging, and applying house wrap

+ Supporting journeyman carpenters with daily tasks

+ Working at heights (up to 36 ft ladders) with provided fall protection

+ General site cleanup and minor carpentry tasks

Minimum Requirements:

+ 6+ months of construction or general labor experience

+ Comfortable working on ladders and at heights

+ Able to lift 75 lbs regularly and carry a 36 ft extension ladder

+ Must have basic hand tools: hammer, square, tape measure, utility knife

+ Must have a tool belt (no plastic bags)

+ Must have own PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, Class 2 reflective safety vest, steel-toe boots

+ Reliable transportation to job sites

+ High school diploma required; trade school preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

+ OSHA 10 Certification

+ 1 year of trade school

+ 3 years of construction experience

+ Experience with hand and power tools, blueprint reading, and installation work

Interview Considerations:

+ Initiative and reliability are key—attendance is closely monitored

+ Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment

+ Thick skin and willingness to learn are valued traits

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
