Hello! We are currently hiring for Clean Room Sort & Tally worker here in Chandler, AZ!

Job Description

This position involves the refurbishment of surgical instruments through a detailed cleaning and sorting process. The role requires handling instruments that range from 10" to 30" in length and involves moving cases through a metal detector before cleaning. Candidates will need to lift bins weighing up to 50 pounds into a dishwasher-style unit, although lifting this weight is uncommon. The job also involves manual sorting, cleaning, power washing, and chemical cleaning of surgical instruments that may have blood and feces on them.

Responsibilities

+ Begin shift by donning clean room gear.

+ Move and operate bins weighing up to 50 pounds.

+ Perform manual, sorting, cleaning, power washing, and chemical cleaning of surgical instruments.

+ Label and sort cleaned instruments into appropriate bins.

+ Sweep daily and mop twice per week as part of an all-hands duty.

+ Physical ability to stand for entire shifts and occasionally lift 50+ pounds.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, air-conditioned facility with new equipment. Employees must gown up in full clean room gear, including smock, booties, gloves, beard net, hair net, plastic visor, and safety glasses. Dress code includes closed-toed tennis shoes and plain shirts. **Shifts available are 5 AM to 1:30 PM or 1:30 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday, with a requirement to work one Saturday a month for overtime.** The facility has a sterile smell similar to a hospital and a slight humming noise like a dishwasher. Certain personal adornments like facial piercings and nail polish are not permitted, except for stud earrings and religious necklaces worn under the shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
