Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

As a Field Technician, you will visit current customer sites to install CO2 monitors. This role involves light low voltage work similar to installing fire alarms in residential settings. The position is crucial due to new CO2 regulations, and you will be working with clients such as restaurants and gas stations, installing monitors directly to their systems.

Responsibilities

+ Install CO2 monitors at customer sites using CAT 5 cabling.

+ Drive to various locations using personal reliable transportation.

+ Pick up necessary materials from the shop or depot.

+ Use a smartphone for GPS navigation and to document installations with pictures.

+ Document mileage and expenses appropriately.

+ Communicate politely and effectively with customers to explain the installation process.

Essential Skills

+ 2 years of experience in light construction, mechanical, or electrical work.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding schematics.

+ Experience with CAT 5 cabling and basic electrical installations.

+ Capability to document work with a smartphone.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in low voltage or light electrical work is a plus.

+ Handy DIY skills can be beneficial.

+ Experience driving for work is advantageous.

+ Ability to work independently and honestly.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily at various customer sites, with a start at the shop each day. You will meet with depot managers who oversee several markets around the state. The role requires independence, as you will work alone after only two days of training. The job operates between 7 AM to 3 PM, with the possibility of starting as early as 6:30 AM on some days. It is essential to document all site visits accurately.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
