    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring the production of high-quality components according to engineering specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC machines efficiently, including setting up tooling, checking inserts, making offsets, and deburring finished parts.

    + Manufacture components accurately according to engineering prints and specifications.

    + Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure parts meet required standards.

    + Accurately document quality data and production metrics for reporting and continuous improvement.

    + Support preventive maintenance efforts by performing routine checks on CNC machines and informing maintenance staff of potential issues.

    + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.

    + Review production schedules, prioritize tasks, and prepare equipment and materials for daily operations.

    + Conduct light corrective maintenance on machinery to address minor issues promptly.

    + Safely handle materials and components throughout the production process.

    + Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of new fixturing and tooling solutions.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC lathes and mills, including both horizontal and vertical machining centers.

    + Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.

    + Skilled in documenting production data and quality metrics accurately and consistently.

    + Experience with CNC set up, CNC operating, mills, lathes, blueprints, micrometers, calipers, gauges, offsets, and tool changes.

    + Familiarity with Fanuc controls.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with process improvement initiatives.

    + Ability to perform light corrective maintenance on machinery.

    Work Environment

     

    Work the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional voluntary overtime on Saturdays. The standard machine shop environment includes a focus on safety and efficiency.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $62400.00/yr.
