Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on equipment and conveyor systems. You will work with mixing machines, extruders, refrigeration units, proofers, conveyors, boilers, and silos. Your tasks include replacing, rotating, inspecting, and changing parts of industrial machines, connecting power to machines, installing and rewiring motors, and reading blueprints and schematics. You will also move machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies, perform welding on steel and aluminum materials, run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines, and engage in fabrication using a drill press, cutting out holes and making parts.

Responsibilities

+ Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on baking equipment and conveyor systems.

+ Work with various machines including mixers, extruders, refrigeration units, proofers, conveyors, boilers, and silos.

+ Replace, rotate, inspect, and change parts of industrial machines.

+ Connect power to machines and install and rewire motors.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ Move machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies.

+ Perform welding on steel and aluminum materials.

+ Run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines.

+ Engage in fabrication using a drill press, cutting out holes and making parts.

Essential Skills

+ Experience troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on automated equipment.

+ Experience with assembly equipment (conveyors) and building industrial equipment.

+ Experience rebuilding three-phase motors.

+ Possession of personal hand tools (power tools provided).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience replacing three-phase motors on conveyors.

+ Experience troubleshooting industrial machines and PLCs.

+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and replace motors, gears, and pumps on industrial machinery.

+ Installation of conduit and electrical wiring is a plus.

+ Background in food/beverage industry is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role operates on a 2nd shift from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am, working every other weekend. The work schedule involves 12-hour shifts across four days a week, totaling 48 hours per week. The environment is hot and fast-paced, with the plant typically 10-20 degrees warmer than outside due to large industrial ovens. The team structure includes one supervisor and three technicians per shift, with a total of four crews. Employees will receive time and a half for hours exceeding 12 in a day or 40 in a week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $69264.00 - $72384.00/yr.
