Job Title: Carpenter Foreman
Job Description
The Carpenter Foreman will work under the direct supervision of site superintendents and will be regularly monitored by ownership. The role involves constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand and power tools. Work includes both interior and exterior projects in commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings. Employees will not operate equipment or drive vehicles, nor will they handle money. All job sites are uninhabited structures.
Responsibilities
+ Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.
+ Use carpenter's hand and power tools proficiently.
+ Work on interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings.
+ Ensure all work meets building codes and standard methods.
+ Plan and organize job site materials and activities.
+ Inspect products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
+ Promote safety for the protection of people and property on the job site.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in the use of hand tools, drywall, and metal studs.
+ Experience in commercial construction, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry.
+ Ability to read and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
+ Strong critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
+ Mathematical skills to measure accurately, calculate dimensions, and solve problems.
+ Knowledge of construction equipment and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
+ Strong planning and organizational skills.
+ Proficient in quality control and inspection of work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of building and construction codes and standard methods.
+ Experience in installation of materials, equipment, and products to meet specifications.
+ Resource and time management skills to effectively use equipment, facilities, materials, and manpower.

Work Environment
Work for a general contractor specializing in commercial projects. This specific project involves multiple buildings, including a distribution center, mechanic/truck shop, and health clinic/pharmacy. The work is performed in uninhabited structures, ensuring a focus on construction quality and safety.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waunakee, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00/hr.
