Press Brake Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to operate and adjust brake presses, ensuring precision and efficiency in metal fabrication. The role involves utilizing micrometers and calipers for accurate measurements and working within tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to comprehend and execute multi-step instructions.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and adjust CNC brake presses, including 80 Ton, 120 Ton, and 220 Ton models.

+ Utilize micrometers and calipers to ensure precise measurements.

+ Work within a tolerance range of +/- .1-.005.

+ Adjust machine settings to control speed and accuracy.

+ Check and pack parts according to work instructions.

+ Learn to calculate bend deduction allowances based on fabrication instructions.

+ Perform loading and unloading of materials and change tools as necessary.

+ Select required machine programs for various tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience setting up or operating CNC brake presses.

+ Proficiency with micrometers and calipers.

+ Strong mathematical skills.

+ Experience in machine operation and metal fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with brands such as Cincinnati, Bystronic, and Accurpress is advantageous.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

Our full-service sheet metal fabrication facility spans 63,000 square feet and specializes in stainless steel innovation. It is equipped with state-of-the-art fabrication and welding technology, servicing diverse markets including restaurant, medical, and telecommunications. Employees benefit from a clean, modern, and climate-controlled environment, fostering comfort and productivity. A 10% shift differential is available for 2nd shift workers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr.
