Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. This is a fully onsite, Contract-to-long-term position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of mail processing and administrative support functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to handling daily mailroom activities.

Responsibilities:

• Sort and organize incoming and outgoing mail to ensure timely delivery.

• Distribute mail and packages to the appropriate departments or individuals.

• Assist with daily mail processing tasks, including labeling and packaging.

• Coordinate with the Administrative Assistant Director to meet operational needs.

• Maintain accurate records of mailroom activities and ensure efficient workflow.

• Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support the department.

• Monitor mailroom supplies and request replenishments when necessary.

• Respond promptly to inquiries regarding mailroom operations.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures and standards in all mailroom activities. Requirements • Prior experience in mailroom operations or administrative support is preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and departments.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and reporting.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in performing daily tasks.
