Description We are looking for a dedicated Financial Aid Analyst/Specialist to join our team in Atherton, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a crucial role in guiding students and their families through financial aid processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing personalized support to help them achieve their educational goals. Responsibilities:
• Assist students and families with completing financial aid applications, including FAFSA forms, loan counseling, and scholarship opportunities.
• Provide clear and accurate information about financial aid requirements, eligibility criteria, and submission deadlines.
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions to help students understand their financial aid packages, rights, and responsibilities.
• Monitor incoming payments and ensure accurate account setup for financial aid disbursements.
• Collaborate with administrative teams to oversee compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies.
• Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to financial aid applications and processes.
• Conduct financial counseling to help students make informed decisions regarding their educational funding.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure proper documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
• Stay updated on changes in financial aid regulations and policies to provide accurate guidance.
• Support the office in optimizing processes to enhance the financial aid experience for students. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in financial aid advising or a related field.
• Proficiency in completing and reviewing FAFSA applications and other financial aid forms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage administrative tasks and oversee compliance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills to assist students and families effectively.
• Familiarity with financial counseling and account setup processes.
• Competence in handling incoming payments and maintaining accurate records.
• Experience with 10-key data entry and attention to detail.
