Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or professional with 0-2 years of experience to develop core accounting skills while contributing to essential financial operations. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

+ Process customer invoices and ensure accurate and timely billing

+ Maintain customer account records and update billing information

+ Prepare aging reports and communicate with customers regarding past due accounts

Accounts Payable

+ Schedule and process payments according to vendor terms and cash flow requirements

+ Maintain vendor master files including payment methods, banking information, and tax documentation

+ Set up new vendor accounts and update existing vendor information

+ Coordinate with vendors regarding payment status and account maintenance

Month-End Close

+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Support month-end reporting deadlines and deliverables

+ Document and maintain accounting procedures and controls

General Accounting Support

+ Assist with general ledger maintenance and transaction processing

+ Support annual audit preparation and provide requested documentation

+ Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field and 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

+ Strong written and verbal communication abilities

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

+ Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)

+ Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes

+ Previous internship or co-op experience in accounting
