Job Description:
Ohio University Zanesville is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing, a non-tenure-track instructional faculty position to teach medical-surgical courses renewable annually starting January 1, 2026.
Teaching will be primarily in person at the Zanesville campus serving nursing programs at the associate and baccalaureate degree levels. The individual is expected to plan, implement, and evaluate instruction using various methods and delivery modes as part of a collaborative and unified team.
Service activities will occur within the School of Nursing ( SON ), the College, the Regional Campus, and the discipline of nursing. Service activities will include, but may not be limited to SON committees, special assignments, active participation in professional groups, and relevant campus and community activities.
All School of Nursing faculty members are expected to collaboratively and actively engage in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student instruction and to participate in School of Nursing governance to ensure program standards and outcomes are fully met.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s degree in nursing ( MSN ) from an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
At least two years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Must hold a current, unencumbered license in the State of Ohio as a registered nurse.
Preferred Qualifications:
A doctorate in nursing or a related field is preferred.
At least five years’ experience in the nursing profession with at least two years as a faculty member in an associate degree or baccalaureate nursing program is preferred.
