Essential Functions:

+ Lead and manage the grain merchandising team and support staff.
+ Develop and implement strategic grain procurement plans aligned with company objectives.
+ Oversee origination and logistics of corn, milo and wheat for all facilities. Set and monitor daily cash bids and basis strategies.
+ Manage grain hedging and risk mitigation strategies.
+ Ensure compliance with state grain audit requirements and internal controls.
+ Collaborate with nutrition, production, and milling teams to align grain supply with operational needs. Maintain and report commodity pricing trends to internal stakeholders.
+ Support grain accounting functions including settlements, receivables, and payables.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, suppliers, and commercial partners.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technology adoption in grain operations.
+ Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
+ Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of grain-related capital projects, including facility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure improvements.
+ Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource needs.

Job Qualifications:
+ Bachelors of science degree in Agriculture, Business or Finance
+ Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as determined by JBS.
+ Available to be on call 24/7 year-round, excluding vacation.
+ Proficient in English, both oral and written communication.
+ Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
+ Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
+ Commitment to workplace safety.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following **compensation and benefits** :
