Summary You will serve as a Non-Nuclear Ship Systems Inspector Work Leader in the Quality Assurance Division of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will perform in-process inspections at various checkpoints during repair, reassembly, test and reinstallation of systems and associated components and equipment. You will lead personnel in all aspects of inspection relating to submarine maintenance, repair, and testing on non-nuclear mechanical, piping, and structural systems. You will perform opening, in-process, and final reviews of non-nuclear controlled work packages to ensure directive compliance. You will lead inspectors in the performance of in-process inspections, demonstrating and training subordinates in proper work methods. You will assign and explain work requirements as well as ensure safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
