Job Title: Buyer IJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Buyer I who will play a critical role in our procurement and sourcing operations. This position involves working on-site to manage procurement for infrastructure equipment, including service level agreements with suppliers. The Buyer I will assist the Buying Team by expanding product selection, setting up new vendors, launching products, and maintaining product catalogs and pricing. This role is integral in supporting new product introductions and executing procurement needs.
Responsibilities
+ Expand product selection by setting up new vendors and items.
+ Maintain and manage the product catalog, including product costs, retail prices, content, and images.
+ Coordinate and assist with new product launches.
+ Manage vendor relations and assist with special projects.
+ Support and train as a backup to the Control Buyer.
+ Research and propose solutions based on procurement requirements.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with ERP Systems, preferably Oracle EBS or SAP.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
+ Experience in supply chain management.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
+ 1+ years of experience in a high volume, global procurement and operations manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic SQL knowledge.
+ Strong organizational, self-motivation, and detail-oriented skills.
+ Understanding of data management and databases.
+ Ability to work in a demanding but collegial team environment.
Work Environment
This full-time role operates within the Global Robotics Operations group, with a daily schedule from 8 to 5, including a one-hour lunch break. This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
