    Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description

     

    As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will process vendor invoices and disbursements, ensuring accuracy with PO numbers, vendor details, tax, and discounts. You will compare subcontractor invoices to purchase orders or contracts, verify costs, reconcile vendor statements, and follow up on outstanding issues. Collaborating with Purchasing and Project Managers, you will resolve invoice discrepancies, use document management software for approvals, and handle complex vendor and payment issues.

    Responsibilities

    + Process vendor invoices and disbursements with accuracy.

    + Compare subcontractor invoices to purchase orders or contracts.

    + Reconcile vendor statements and address missing invoices or issues.

    + Collaborate with Purchasing and Project Managers to resolve discrepancies.

    + Route invoices for approval using document management software.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve complex vendor and payment issues.

    + Process lien waivers and allocate purchasing card costs to jobs as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of Accounts Payable experience.

    + 1+ year of intermediate Excel experience.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with the person or Wensoft systems is preferred.

    + Open to candidates eager to learn and grow, even without multiple years of experience.

    Work Environment

    This position offers the flexibility to work fully remote. If located near one of our locations, you can choose to work on-site. The standard workweek is 40 hours, with central hours and flexible start and end times. The role is contract-based, with a minimum duration of 2 months and potential for longer-term opportunities based on team evolution.     This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
