Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Home Loan Specialist / Loan Closing Assistant to support our Closing, Funding, and Financial departments. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in the mortgage industry. You’ll be the first point of contact for brokers and settlement agents, helping ensure smooth and compliant loan closings.
Key Responsibilities
+ Handle 15–25 inbound calls daily from brokers and settlement agents regarding closing questions.
+ Respond to portal messages and inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
+ Perform back-office tasks including document preparation, title clearance, and appraisal eligibility.
+ Troubleshoot third-party orders (title, appraisal, hazard, flood cert, credit, etc.).
+ Evaluate loan applications for product guideline and regulatory compliance.
+ Collaborate with internal departments to ensure files are ready to close.
+ Maintain accurate records of loan closing activities.
+ Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and chat.
+ Demonstrate behaviors aligned with our company’s culture and values.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certifications in finance, real estate, or related field preferred.
+ Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
+ If no degree, at least 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
+ Experience in title, escrow, or mortgage is preferred but not required.
+ Must be able to get certified in Fee Collaboration and Closing.
+ Strong phone etiquette and customer handling skills.
+ Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing processes.
+ Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
+ Strong computer navigation and multitasking abilities.
+ Experience with Encompass Software is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
