    **Residence Life** at CU Boulder encourages applications for a **Coordinator for Residential Operations** ! This role is a full-time, 12-month, live-on position that provides leadership, planning, management, and administrative oversight for key residence life processes, including residence hall move-in, residence hall move-out, break transitions, and sustainability support for an undergraduate community of over 9,000 students in the residence halls and on-campus apartments. This position also helps manage business relationships with vendors that support campus mail, campus laundry, and campus transportation.

    What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

    _Departmental Operations_

    + Plan Internal operational components of residence hall move-in, including managing appointments, volunteer coordination, drop-off days, early arrivals, and supply orders.

    + Coordinate pre-arrival programs, including application processes, schedules, and participant databases.

    + Coordinate residence hall move-out, including damage billing processes, donation drives, and equipment allocation.

    + Manage operations that support transitional periods, such as fall and spring break, including coordination of student staff meals.

    + Lead residence life engagement in large campus admissions events, such as Admitted Students Day.

    + Train residence life professional and student staff on operational expectations and processes.

    + Collaborate with Student Affairs communications to communicate key move-in, break, and closing messaging to residents and families.

    + Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external partners.

    + Develop and maintain training manuals about operational processes to support student assistants and administrative staff.

    + Collaborate with the residential support team to lead execution of Health & Safety checks within the residence halls & Graduate Family Housing.

    + In alignment with the Residential Curriculum, develop student-facing educational materials such as closing floor meeting agendas.

    _Sustainability Initiatives & Facilities support_

    + Develop & Facilitate student-facing competitions to support the reduction of energy consumption within the residence halls.

    + Establish and maintain partnerships with other sustainability program staff across campus, including the Environmental Center.

    + Support facilitation of campus wide programming such as Recycling Roundup.

    + Assist in the creation of campaigns that connect residence hall students to existing campus sustainability initiatives, including but not limited to Sustainable Buffs Initiative and Climate Justice Leadership Program through the Environmental Center, Ralphies Green Stampede, and CU in the Community and SkoServe through the Volunteer Resource Center.

    + Partner with the Assistant Director for Community Operations, the Environmental Center, and students to coordinate donation drives that occur within residence halls and apartment communities.

    + In collaboration with Housing Facilities Services, develop and deploy a vandalism response plan.

    + Support in-hall staff in follow-up to acts of vandalism.

    + Use campus data to predict when spikes in vandalism may occur, and partner with in-hall staff to deploy preventative measures.

    + Regularly meet with student leaders in RHA, Community Council, and EcoReps to create investment in sustainability, as well as continued engagement with Housing Facilities Services staff.

    + Provide co-advising support for the EcoRep program.

    + Oversee processes for the Graduate Family Housing community gardens.

    _Administration and Financial Management_

    + Oversee the protocols for utilization and organization of the departmental shared drive and other online data storage locations.

    + Serve as the front-facing support for student laundry & mail concerns.

    + Assist in the creation of departmental Standard Operating Protocols (SOP's); regularly review policies and identify gaps in service.

    + Ensure tracking of departmental equipment and supplies.

    + Maintain inventory of departmental iPads & other technology.

    + Maintain records of all residence life-managed storage spaces.

    + Maintain departmentally important date lists.

    + Serve as the department's primary point of contact for room reservation management through EMS.

    + Follow all federal, state, university, and departmental budget procedures

    + Oversee residence life operational budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities.

    + Serve on 1-2 residence life committees to assist with departmental initiatives and strategic goals.

    + Perform other functions and assume other responsibilities as assigned.

    + Serve on departmental selection committees and support RA and CA selection by engaging in the interview process.

    _Emergency Response_

    + Ensure preparedness of Residence Life emergency supplies, such as upkeep of GFH flood boxes, restocking of first-aid supplies at residence hall front desks, and continual supply of other safety supplies

    + Partner with Residence Life Leadership, Emergency Management, and CUPD to coordinate relevant safety training exercises for Residence life professional staff.

    + Understand and apply Residence Life emergency management protocols to ensure proper reporting and resolution of crisis situations that may arise.

    + Serve in an on-call rotation for 10,000+ residents and provide crisis management assistance and follow up.

    + Provide crisis intervention and emergency management as needed.

     

    What You Should Know

     

    The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, plus regular evening and weekend commitments. A flexible work schedule may be available. This position serves in an emergency on-call rotation that requires occasional physical response to campus on nights and weekends.

    What We Can Offer

    + The salary for this position is $50,000 - $52,280.

    What We Require

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field from an accredited college or university.

    + 1+ year program management, program development, and program implementation experience.

    + 1+ year of professional leadership experience in an educational field or related field, or 2+ years in a graduate assistantship with similar experience.

    + Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
