About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service & Insurance Verification Representative to join our healthcare support team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers by managing communications, verifying insurance details, and maintaining accurate documentation. Responsibilities

+ Respond to inbound calls and emails promptly and professionally, in alignment with service goals

+ Provide accurate information regarding products, services, retail locations, and general inquiries

+ Process orders, route calls to appropriate departments, and follow up as needed

+ Document all call interactions and customer information according to standard operating procedures

+ Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness

+ Conduct insurance verification to determine patient eligibility, coverage, co-insurance, and deductibles

+ Obtain pre-authorizations and submit physician orders to insurance carriers when required

+ Navigate multiple electronic medical record (EMR) systems to retrieve and update documentation

+ Maintain accurate records in EMR systems, including authorization details and expiration dates

+ Communicate trends or issues with insurance carriers to Customer Service and Management

+ Ensure insurance carriers are listed in the company database; request additions when necessary

+ Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer guidelines and provide alternative options to facilitate referrals

Required Qualifications

+ Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (retail or restaurant experience accepted)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

+ High attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in a healthcare-related role

+ Familiarity with medical terminology

+ Background in nursing homes or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

+ Prior experience handling inbound calls in a call center or help desk environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
