Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful Customer Care Specialist to join our Back-Up Care team. This role supports employees of client companies by helping them secure alternative child care solutions when their regular arrangements fall through. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, solution-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the first point of contact for employees of client companies seeking back-up child care solutions.
+ Handle inbound calls from employees or place outbound calls to internal care networks (child care centers or in-home providers).
+ Assess caller needs and provide timely, appropriate care options to ensure the employee can maintain their work schedule.
+ Accurately document all interactions and outcomes in the CRM system.
+ Collaborate with internal teams through CRM notes to ensure continuity of service.
+ Maintain professionalism and empathy while troubleshooting care-related issues.
+ Support the mission of helping working families stay productive by providing reliable care solutions.
Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, help desk, or call center environment.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document phone conversations clearly and accurately.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
+ Typing proficiency of 35 WPM and above-average data entry skills preferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer functions (copy, paste, navigation).
+ Willingness and ability to learn new software systems.
+ Ability to assess caller needs and gather necessary information without relying on a scripted process.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Exposure to higher education (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree).
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
