As a full stack Senior Software Engineer, you are responsible for delivering next generation user and tooling features that drive our customers’ success. Our Edge and IoT services that include Azure IoT Operations, IoT Hub and Device Provisioning services enable the connection of devices and assets that reach nearly everywhere and come in all shapes and sizes

The Digital Operations Experience team is looking for talented engineers to design and implement web and tooling experiences that are intuitive and make it easy to manage these millions of assets & devices effortlessly using technologies like React, Node JS, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript/JavaScript, Golang, Python, Docker, Kubernetes and more.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a world-class user experience for connected and industrial iot scenarios.

• Design and deliver end to end web user experiences and tooling features.

• Work across teams to deliver end-to-end solutions integrating edge and cloud.

• Deliver and ensure security and quality of end to end deliverables features through robust engineering and automated testing.

• Review, refactor and improve existing code base and features.

• Apply security and accessibility principles in all deliverables

• Proactively seek new knowledge and prototoype new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of our services.

• Adopt and evangelize AI/LLM technologies to improve engineering velocity, quality and team development experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

+ OR equivalent experience

+ 3+ years' experience in building front end applications using Node.js, Next.js, React, Angular or other similar front end frameworks.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ Experience with distributed systems, IoT, or edge computing.

+ Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and telemetry.

+ Written and oral communication skills.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
