Senior Technical Program Manager - Compliance
- Microsoft Corporation (Boston, MA)

Microsoft Azure is committed to being the cloud trusted most by customers. As Azure is increasingly used in regulated scenarios by global customers, we require increased support for our work to respond to new regulations, to regulatory examinations and customer audits.
The Azure Trusted Platform team is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager - Compliance to support Azure’s regulatory work. The Senior Technical Program Manager - Compliance will work with multiple stakeholders within Azure as well as external advisors to understand regulatory and compliance framework requirements and will work to implement adherence across Azure. The role will also be supporting audit and examination engagements across multiple Microsoft Online Service’s offerings with respect to that compliance.
Azure Trusted Platform team calls on resources from across Microsoft to plan for regulatory obligations and to respond to the inquiries about regulations from regulators, auditors and customers. Increasingly the principal requirements and queries that those audiences have are about international compliance requirements. The work requires an inquisitive mindset, an inclination towards precision and explanation, and no fear of either detailed work or abstraction. You won’t write code in this role, but you should be comfortable working with people who do. You won’t write contracts in this role, but you should understand the value and limitations of contracts. If you can differentiate “SOX” from “SOC”, “HIPAA” from “HiTrust” and “PIPL” from “PIPEDA”, then we want to meet you. The lexicon of regulatory compliance is a tongue twister, and we work to untwist it for Azure and drive the right preparation.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
