    As an ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT you will be responsible for assisting in providing a program of activities, which will cover the spiritual, social, recreational, and educational needs of residents. You will find meaningful work in this role with the opportunity to collaborate and make a positive impact every day!

    Responsibilities:

    + Leads group and one-on-one activities as directed by the Activity Director.

    + Assists in planning activity program for residents.

    + Assists in recruiting residents for activity programs, resident council, etc.

    + Transport residents to and from activities, meals, and appointments.

    + Accompanies residents to activity programs outside the facility.

    + Assesses resident needs and develops goals and approaches to any identified problems.

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED/TASC required.

    + Experience working with the geriatric population and/or in a recreational setting is preferred.

    + Ability to lift over 60 pounds, stand, walk, sit, bend, and twist.

    + Ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks and assignments.

    + Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with staff, residents, vendors, and volunteers.
