    Requirements

    Summary:

    Member of the Production Control Team. Working in a team environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of the lean triggers in the Rolled Products and Cast Shop, as well as Developing and overseeing production scheduling for the Mebane Location. There will be a strong need and focus on data analysis. The responsibilities of this role will involve a significant amount of interaction with Revere's Customer Support, Continuous Improvement and Operations Teams. These tasks will include, but are not limited to, coordinating production schedules, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring efficient workflow across departments. The ideal candidate will bring engineering insight to streamline operations, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor, control and make recommendations for improvements to various phases of manufacturing processes and equipment. Recommend projects focused on continuous improvement of production processes. Must have strong presence on production floor and complete daily tasks to monitor process during development. Must be comfortable with large data sets, able to interpret and analyze data to generate meaningful and sustainable process improvements as pertain to production system. This role is responsible for coordinating the execution of the production schedule to ensure high OTD to our customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate and manage daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.

    + Responsible for late orders and for coordinating new processes and root cause analysis to ensure any action needed to maintain 80% production on time metric from execution side.

    + Review and follow up on WIP that is on HOLD for quality.

    + Review and expedite WIP that is stalled at operations.

    + Responsible for coordinating all aspects of executing the plan created by production planner.

    + Ensure inventory accuracy and audit accordingly.

    + Analyze production systems and implement improvements based on findings.

    + Monitor WIP status to identify shortages and delays, create plans to recover.

    + Expedite production when required to meet original promise dates.

    + Monitor and ensure Cast Shop and Rolled Products production loops are being executed appropriately.

    + Utilize industrial engineering principles to recommend process improvements, build and balance value streams, and calculate needed inventories

    + Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal use of labor and equipment.

    + Track and analyze key production metrics (efficiency, downtime, throughput) and to recommend improvements.

    + Support the implantation of Rick Harris Lean System throughout the facility.

    + Analyze datasets to create sustainable improvements to production cycles.

    + Investigate production process needs (coordinate and implement projects and action plans).

    + Review customer requirements and specifications against manufacturing capabilities to assure process used to manufacture products meet or exceed customer expectations.

    + Determine alternative processing options to best utilize available capacity on mill machinery.

    + Attend daily meetings with operations and maintenance teams to help coordinate machine breakdowns, manning constraints, and other issues.

    + Participate on various production and continuous improvement teams.

    + Provide operator support and learning

    + Report on key process and product metrics to various levels of the organization.

    + Backfill for production planners as needed.

    Qualifications:

    + Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ability to overcome obstacles.

    + Exposed to Lean Manufacturing concepts. Working knowledge of pull systems.

    + Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

    + Proficient in use of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

    + 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + 3+ years of experience in production scheduling.

    + Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems such as AS400 or OpsCenter.

    + Knowledge of statistical techniques is a plus.

    Special Demands:

    + While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

    + May be exposed to wet or humid conditions.

    + May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

    + May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.

    + May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.

    + May be exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process

    Education / Training:

    Minimum:

    + 2 Year Degree in related field or equivalent experience

    Preferred:

    + Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, manufacturing, business, or related field

    + Production Planning experience in manufacturing environment.

    + Experience with heavy Experience with Heavy Industrial Process / Systems.
