    Job Summary

    **Job Title:** Systems Engineer I

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    + Competent at operating control software applications.

    + Develop simple databases based on a written sequence of operation.

    + VAV’s, FCU’s, and AHU’s

    + Read and identify mechanical equipment on floor plans.

    + Commission projects with assistance from senior-level engineers

    + Fill out commissioning documentation.

    + Identify mechanical equipment for drawings and in the field.

    + Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, AHU’s, FCU’s, VAV’s, and EF’s

    + Identify equipment deficiencies.

    + Understand simple electrical control circuits.

    + Controller I/O and 24VAC power

    + Understand simple networking principles.

    + Coordinate work with Mesa electricians

    + Understand and identify the contractual scope of work.

    **Job Specifications** (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.

    + 4 + years of relevant experience, with at least two years as an automation technician.

    + Working knowledge of at least one HVAC controls systems (preferably Delta, JCI or Andover).

    + Knowledge of mechanical systems.

    + Ability to interface with customers and contractors at a supervisory and management level.

    + Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and computer programming.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Good computer skills, understanding of controls networking.

    + A valid driver’s license.

    **Compensation Range:** $36.00 - $48.00 per hour
