Job Description:

June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026
Pay rate is $25/hour for undergraduate student (rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior)
Pay rate is $30/hour for graduate student
Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
ABA’s Internship provides students with a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Conduct research on cybersecurity threats and trends and emerging risks and trends such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing advances, cloud computing, and other technologies.
+ Support ABA committees and working groups with projects and deliverables, including but limited to the developing agendas, creating surveys, and preparing summaries of meetings.
+ Assist in drafting comment letters on cybersecurity related regulatory issues.
+ Assist in drafting articles about cyber and operational risk issues.
Required Skills
Excellent writing and analytical skills.
Strong interest in cybersecurity, regulation and operational risk.
Ability to report into ABA headquarters located in Washington, DC, at least two-times per week (relocation assistance or stipend is not included for the intern program). Internship positions are not eligible for healthcare insurance coverage.
Minimum Education Requirements
Major Field of Study: Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Liberal Arts (e.g., English, History)
Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior ($25.00 an hour) or graduate student ($30.00 an hour)
Salary Band Range:
$15.00 - $37.50 - $60.00
