    The mission of the Acadiana Area Human Services District is to improve the quality of life for citizens of Acadiana who have behavioral health and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities.

     

    We’re looking for a motivated Health Information Supervisor to join our team in the Medical Records Department of the Acadiana Area Human Services District, Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic with good organizational and supervisory skills.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Three years of experience in administrative services in a medical setting.

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Job Duties:

    As a Health Information Supervisor of a large community behavioral health clinic, you will:

    + Supervise/organize the activities and functions of an accredited medical records department to insure the programs, including the retention of records and release of information, are in compliance with State and Federal laws, LDH licensing standards, CARF and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

    + Conduct record reviews and analyses to ensure that clinical staff adhere to AAHSD policies and are incompliance with governing bodies.

    + Ensure the integrity of client medical records stored in mixture of electronic and hard-copy formats.

    + Directly supervise two (2) Health Information Processors

    + Communicates with various health agencies, legal system representatives, and health professionals as needed.
