Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a creative and driven licensed Project Architect for our Asheville, NC office. This position affords a client-focused leadership opportunity with a growing team of multi-disciplinary professionals working on a diverse array of projects as well as an excellent opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate is experienced, highly motivated, detail oriented and exhibits a commitment to design excellence as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead project development, design and production throughout all phases of the project
+ Facilitate client, consultant & contractor coordination and regulatory approval processes
+ Development, delegation and quality and budget control of all architectural deliverables
+ Business development, proposal & contracts negotiations and fee generation
+ Integrated Revit modeling and related project document development including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, code analyses and specifications
+ Ensure project quality and consistency for profitability and client retention
+ Attend meetings with clients, consultants & contractors, and make regular project visits
+ Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project team across multiple offices
+ Cultivate and manage new business relationships to support growth in Western NC
+ Represent Summit at industry events, conferences, and professional society meetings
Qualifications:
+ Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
+ Licensed Architect in North Carolina (required)
+ 5-8 years of relevant professional experience
+ Displayed experience independently managing and producing architectural projects
+ Displayed experience in design, detailing, building systems, codes and construction techniques
+ Displayed experience managing clients, consultants and project budgets
+ Displayed experience with architectural practice and project delivery
+ High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe CS and MS-office
+ Strong creative, problem-solving and technical skills
+ Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as well as within a virtual setting.
+ Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
