The **Manufacturing Engineering Manager** is responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers in the optimization, support, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for Soni, PHP, Cool-tip, and CryoFlex in Boulder, CO, as well as overseeing all engineering functions in Parker, CO. This role ensures that production operations consistently meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Reporting into the Engineering Director for the Colorado Campus, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Released Product Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to maintain robust, reliable, and scalable manufacturing systems.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
+ Plans, directs, and implements all aspects of manufacturing engineering activities to support ongoing production of Soni, PHP, Cool-tip, and CryoFlex products.
+ Leads efforts to optimize manufacturing processes for safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
+ Investigates and evaluates non-conforming material generated by manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies to improve efficiency and reduce variability.
+ Guides the identification and deployment of new manufacturing methodologies, materials, equipment, or process improvements that enhance operational performance.
+ Supports process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), change controls, and risk management activities for existing products.
+ Ensures accurate and compliant documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and engineering changes.
+ Coordinates activities with regulatory, released product engineering, design quality engineering, and all other centers of excellence.
+ Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation and growth of the manufacturing engineering function.
+ Provides tactical and operational leadership and coaching to engineering team.
+ Defines performance goals and targets, conducts performance reviews, and staff 1:1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts, and manages toward departmental goals.
+ Provides engineering oversight for the Medtronic manufacturing facility in Parker, CO, being onsite 2-4 days per month.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technical Science required.
+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant Engineering / Manufacturing experience within a highly regulated industry, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant Engineering / Manufacturing experience within a highly regulated industry.
Nice to Have
+ Experience in medical manufacturing under FDA/GMP conditions in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices.
+ Experience as a Process Engineer.
+ Experience managing direct reports.
+ Excellent personal, organizational and leadership skills.
+ Proficiency with business software and network applications.
+ Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards governing medical device manufacturing.
+ Ability to lead DMAIC A3 problem solving processes.
+ Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
+ Ability to effectively present information to large groups.
+ Good communication skills and established leadership ability.
+ Ability to recognize and support Campus priorities.
+ Capable of managing projects and prioritizing effectively.
+ Ability to establish relationships and develop beneficial networks outside of the Campus.
+ Strong analytical skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$140,800.00 - $211,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
