    Our client is currently seeking a qualified **Field Service Technician** to join their team in Rockingham, NC and provide end-user support. This role involves servicing multiple store locations, ensuring consistent and high-quality technical support across hardware, software, and network environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while representing the company in a professional manner. A valid driver's license and clean MVR is required.

    Duties and Responsibilities** **:

    + Provide onsite technical support for IT and data-related issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral equipment

    + Perform installations, maintenance, and configuration of computers, printers, and POS (Point of Sale) systems

    + Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests while maintaining clear and detailed documentation

    + Collaborate with remote support teams to diagnose and resolve escalated issues

    + Travel to various store locations using a company-provided vehicle to deliver consistent and efficient service

    + Maintain and update service records, providing accurate and detailed field reports

    + Adhere to company standards of professionalism, communication, and customer satisfaction

    + Participate in ongoing training to stay current with technology updates and operational procedures

    Skills and Qualifications** **:

    + Minimum 1+ years of IT technical support experience (retail or field service experience preferred)

    + CompTIA A+ Certification required

    + Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting, printer setup and configuration, and basic networking concepts

    + Familiarity with POS systems and related peripherals is a plus

    + Excellent communication and customer service skills

    + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

    + Valid driver's license required (travel between locations is part of the role)

    **Wage Range** :

     

    The rate for this position is between **$17.00 - $20.00 per hour.** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
